10 Days of Greece Through the Eyes of BP Jewelry

Greece, one of the most beautiful places on earth!...

I had the privilege to visit Greece this summer and travel to Mykonos, Santorini, and Athens. Each being unique on its own, it felt as if I was travelling to completely different countries; each city with their own unique characteristics.

Mykonos, also known as "Ibiza of Greece" had the most beautiful beaches and the craziest parties. Filled with white sand and turquoise waters I couldn't stop myself from practically living in the water and soaking up all the sun that I could get! It was definitely the perfect start to a crazy travel-filled 10 days!

After staying in Mykonos for 5 beautiful days, it was time to travel to Santorini.
Wow, Santorini. I am at a loss for words when I think of the spectacular views from this stunning city. Staying at a villa at the top of the mountain, I couldn't help but relax. The serene and quiet location was just what I needed after a crazy 4 days of traveling from party beach to party beach! Santorini felt like a little community filled with people that all knew each other. I felt so much love and passion pulsing from the grounds of the city that I couldn't help but fall in love and never want to leave!

Unfortunately, after 4 soul relaxing days, it was time to move on to the next city, Athens. Athens, a city rich in history, was definitely a city that I wasn't expecting to be in. Since I am from New York and the "hustle and bustle" runs through my veins, it felt good to be back in a city filled with tall buildings and hard working people. Although it felt nice to be in the city, I was craving the beaches and stunning views that Mykonos and Santorni had to offer. In Athens, I felt more like a tourist. The only full day that we spent in Athens, we decided to be full-on tourists and visit the Acropolis. The Acropolis, an ancient citadel where several ancient buildings such as the Parthenon were located, was beyond spectacular. It felt so surreal to be able to walk on the grounds of a civilization where Democracy was first founded.

Although visiting Greece was one of the best experiences of my life, after 10 life changing days, it was time to get back home to New York City. I will never forget the crystal clear beaches, remarkable sunsets, the beautiful walks, the ancient sites, and most importantly, the beauty that the world has to offer outside of my New York home!

Check out the images below for a view of my jewels with the most amazing backdrops ever!... And a few personal images in there :)

Can't wait for my next mind-blowing trip!

Love Always,

New York Born Tourist for a Day

2/18/2013

I had the wonderful privilege this weekend to FINALLY visit the New York City Public Library... I can't believe it took 20+ years of living in New York to finally visit such a mind blowing place!

It feels as though born and raised New Yorkers go through life without actually realizing the beautiful city they live in. SO full of history, design, art, love, and much more!... this definitely has inspired me to once in a while take a break from my hectic life and enjoy everything this amazing city has to offer.

Once I stepped foot into the NYC Public Library I was completely mesmerized... This 19th century iconic building represents true architecture and design. Now-a-days we don't really see newly built buildings with such detail and thought using luxurious materials such as hand carved marble and wood.

Every single square inch of this masterpiece is so finely detailed that even thinking about the amount of hard work, blood, sweat, and tears makes me lightheaded. There was not one tiny area of this building that wasn't decorated and thought out.

Below are some quick images I took during my visit there... The coloring of each room, the perspectives, fine details, carvings, paintings, beautiful proportions, ornate ceilings and walls were just beyond absolutely stunning!

Visiting the library this weekend has really opened my eyes and showed me that I really do need to take a break once in a while and soak in all of the art and creativity NYC has to offer.

It has most definitely helped my creative mind go into full gear... maybe a new collection based on NYC experiences?!

You will just have to wait and see...................!

Love,
Bita

Who watched the Grammy's last night?!

WOW THE FASHION AND THE JEWELS!

Three artists really caught my eye last night... each one expressed a different view/love I have for fashion.

Rihanna:
HOLY RED! Red, red, red, my FAVORITE color!!! This dress was so beyond stunning, I was competely speechless! This sheered, Alaia dress is beyond words. Do we dare mention how many Carats she was wearing?! 100 to be exact! I am LOVING the multi-finger rings, gives this classic dress that little Ri-Ri edge. Rihanna, good job girl; conservatively sexy.. we likey :)

Kelly Rowland:
Well hello there sexy cut-outs! Beyonce, sorry love but you have NOTHING on Kelly! This gorgeous see-through Chakra gown really showed off her amazing ASSets... and those jewels! Oh those JEWELS! Her deco-inspired earrings really fit the bill and complemented the angles in her dress.

Katy Perry:
There is a pretty obvious situation here, but let's not get too distracted ;) She really BUSTED out and created a huge OMG moment! This seafoam Gucci dress really made her skin glow and her blue eyes pop. Besides the not-so-small cut-out, this dress featured such an amazing jeweled encrusted neckline that was to die for. Now let's go a little lower... down to her wonderfully manicured fingers. Perry wore this stunning Adeler ring that was the perfect accent for this over the top dress. Like the ring?! Our "Big Chunk of Turquoise" ring is the perfect steal ;)
