Greece, one of the most beautiful places on earth!...
I had the privilege to visit Greece this summer and travel to Mykonos, Santorini, and Athens. Each being unique on its own, it felt as if I was travelling to completely different countries; each city with their own unique characteristics.
Mykonos, also known as "Ibiza of Greece" had the most beautiful beaches and the craziest parties. Filled with white sand and turquoise waters I couldn't stop myself from practically living in the water and soaking up all the sun that I could get! It was definitely the perfect start to a crazy travel-filled 10 days!
After staying in Mykonos for 5 beautiful days, it was time to travel to Santorini.
Wow, Santorini. I am at a loss for words when I think of the spectacular views from this stunning city. Staying at a villa at the top of the mountain, I couldn't help but relax. The serene and quiet location was just what I needed after a crazy 4 days of traveling from party beach to party beach! Santorini felt like a little community filled with people that all knew each other. I felt so much love and passion pulsing from the grounds of the city that I couldn't help but fall in love and never want to leave!
Unfortunately, after 4 soul relaxing days, it was time to move on to the next city, Athens. Athens, a city rich in history, was definitely a city that I wasn't expecting to be in. Since I am from New York and the "hustle and bustle" runs through my veins, it felt good to be back in a city filled with tall buildings and hard working people. Although it felt nice to be in the city, I was craving the beaches and stunning views that Mykonos and Santorni had to offer. In Athens, I felt more like a tourist. The only full day that we spent in Athens, we decided to be full-on tourists and visit the Acropolis. The Acropolis, an ancient citadel where several ancient buildings such as the Parthenon were located, was beyond spectacular. It felt so surreal to be able to walk on the grounds of a civilization where Democracy was first founded.
Although visiting Greece was one of the best experiences of my life, after 10 life changing days, it was time to get back home to New York City. I will never forget the crystal clear beaches, remarkable sunsets, the beautiful walks, the ancient sites, and most importantly, the beauty that the world has to offer outside of my New York home!
Check out the images below for a view of my jewels with the most amazing backdrops ever!... And a few personal images in there :)
Can't wait for my next mind-blowing trip!
Love Always,
Bita
